The Fourth Annual Devil's Ridge Men's Golf Association (MGA) Charity Golf Classic

This is the fourth year the MGA is sponsoring the Devils Ridge Charity Golf Classic to aid in the fight against Prostate Cancer. The tournament raised $82,000 over 3 years and the MGA has again chosen the Prostate Cancer Coalition of North Carolina (PCCNC) to be the beneficiary of this tournament.  Your participation as a player or a sponsor will help us fight this dreaded disease.

Tournament will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at the Devils Ridge Golf Club, 5107 Linksland Dr., Holly Springs, NC  27540.  Format will be a team scramble, 9:00 AM shotgun start.  Fee is $95 per golfer and includes cart, range balls, continental breakfast, lunch and $1,800 in team prizes

Cancer Centers of North Carolina

The Classic committee is pleased to announce that Cancer Centers of North Carolina (CCNC) is the Founding Sponsor of the Devils Ridge Men's Golf Association Charity Golf Classic.  CCNC was established in 1979 as Raleigh Hematology Oncology Associates.  It is a comprehensive hematology and oncology practice consisting of 16 board certified oncologists, the Triangle's largest group of cancer physicians in private practice.  Their range of advanced treatments includes radiation therapy, chemotherapy and access to clinical trials.  They have four locations in Raleigh, North Raleigh, Cary and Dunn.  For more information visit www.cancercentersofnc.com

PLATINUM LEVEL: $1,500
  • Sponsor’s name and / or logo on six (6) posters on the driving range.

GOLD LEVEL: $1,000
  • Poster prominently displayed in dining room as prime sponsor for the luncheon; OR Sponsor’s name on posters at up to 9 greens, featuring “facts” about Prostate Cancer; OR Recognition for printing the lunch booklet.

RAFFLE
In conjunction with the golf tournament, the DRCGC committee is conducting a raffle. First prize is a 2 night, 3 rounds for two package at Pinehurst with 1 round at the  Pinehurst #2 course.  Second prize is two(2) Continental Airlines coach tickets good for travel in North America (including Alaska and Canada), Central America and the Caribbean.  Other prizes include many gift certificates for golf(foursomes) at fine golf courses and fine dining certificates for restaurants in the area.  Winner need not be present at the tournament to win.  Tickets are available from any Holly Springs Golf Club MGA member or by calling Janet Bindseil at (919)552-2587.
Supporting the tournament greatly aids the PCCNC in promoting awareness, "best practices" early detection, and proactive and informed patient care for the men and families of NC who are or will be confronted with prostate cancer.
