Click on the video below to hear the PCCNC statement on prostate screening by Judd Moul M.D., F.A.C.S.. PCCNC screening guidelines represent a consensus from North Carolina's three National Cancer Institute (NCI) Academic Research Centers.

"Best Practices" Screening Guidelines are based on early detection guidelines developed by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) and the American Urological Association (AUA). These guidelines support men who decide to screen in alignment with leading clinical guidelines for the care and treatment of men with prostate cancer. If you have an abnormal PSA or DRE, click here to learn what to expect at the urologist's office.

The PCCNC NCCN and AUA guidelines summary is reviewed and supported by Judd Moul M.D., F.A.C.S., Professor and Chief of the Division of Urology at Duke University Medical Center and Duke Prostate Center physicians and professional staff, Culley C. Carson, III, M.D., F.A.C.S., Rhodes Distinguished Professor, Professor and Chief of Urology at UNC School of Medicine and the faculty and staff of UNC Urology, the physicians of the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center Prostate Cancer Center of Excellence. These guidelines are updated in line with updates to either NCCN or AUA guidelines and are posted pending the approval of (prostate cancer specific) medical thought leaders.
