No Shave November

Changing the Face of Men's Health

NCCU students, faculty, and staff are recognizing "No Shave November," for the second straight year in hopes to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer. This initiative is being spear headed by Mr. Chinasa Nworu, Assistant Director for NCCU Centennial Scholars Program, and this year we will focus on highlighting the statistics; raising awareness, and campus-wide/community involvement. In addition, participants commit to making the men in their families aware of their risk of prostate cancer and the steps they can take to protect themselves. Lastly, faculty, staff, and students over the age of 35 will have the opportunity to be empowered with information to assure, if diagnosed, they are aware of the resources needed to take charge of their care.

According to Chinasa Nworu, "The NCCU community from the Chancellor to the students are all very excited about changing the FACE of Men's Health, figuratively and literally."
