Prostate Cancer Symptoms

print friendly version of this page |

The most common symptom of prostate cancer is NO SYMPTOM AT ALL!

This is why promoting the early detection of prostate cancer by way of annual prostate screening is so important.

If cancer is detected during its earliest stages, most men will not experience any symptoms. Some physical symptoms can include a need to urinate frequently; difficulty starting urination or holding back urine; weak or interrupted flow of urine; painful or burning urination; difficulty in having an erection; painful ejaculation; blood in urine or semen; frequent pain or stiffness in the lower back, hips, or upper thighs.

These symptoms can also indicate the presence of other diseases or disorders, men who experience any of these symptoms should see a medical professional immediately to undergo a complete examination to determine the underlying cause of the symptoms.

According MD Anderson Cancer Center is nearly 100% effectively treatable when found early. Once physically uncomfortable symptoms manifest, the 5 year survival rate for prostate cancer drops to about 30%.

You can look great, feel great, and have a cancer that has already spread out of control.
